Turkish Classes
Paid Turkish Courses
Although knowledge of Turkish is not a mandatory requirement for participation in Erasmus+ mobility at Sivas Cumhuriyet University, incoming students who wish to improve their language skills and enhance their daily life experience in Türkiye are encouraged to take Turkish language courses.
These courses are offered by the Turkish Language Teaching Application and Research Centre (TÖMER) of Sivas Cumhuriyet University. The centre provides structured programs at different levels, aiming to develop students’ skills in listening, speaking, reading, and writing.
Please note that these courses are not free of charge. Fees vary depending on the duration and level of the program. Detailed information regarding course schedules, registration procedures, and tuition fees can be found on the official webpage of the Turkish Language Teaching Application and Research Centre (TÖMER).
By enrolling in these courses, students will not only gain a deeper understanding of the Turkish language but will also have the opportunity to explore the cultural context in which the language is spoken, thereby enriching their academic and social experience during their stay in Sivas.
Turkish Language Clubs
In addition to formal language courses offered by the Turkish Language Teaching Application and Research Centre (TÖMER), incoming Erasmus+ students also have the opportunity to participate in Turkish Language Clubs organized by the Erasmus+ Office in cooperation with ESN Cumhuriyet.
These clubs are designed as informal, student-friendly activities where international and local students come together to practice Turkish in a relaxed and supportive environment. Sessions are usually led by volunteer students or facilitators and focus on basic communication skills, everyday expressions, and cultural elements of the Turkish language.
Participation in the Turkish Language Clubs is free of charge and open to all Erasmus+ students, regardless of their level of Turkish. The aim is to encourage intercultural exchange, help incoming students integrate into daily life more easily, and foster friendships with local peers.
Schedules and announcements for the Turkish Language Clubs are shared by the Erasmus+ Office and ESN Cumhuriyet at the beginning of each semester.
