Application Procedure for Incoming Erasmus+ Mobilities

Student Mobility

Sivas Cumhuriyet University welcomes Erasmus+ students from partner universities across the World. Incoming students benefit from a vibrant campus life, high-quality education, and comprehensive support services provided by the International Relations Office and ESN Cumhuriyet.

Nomination Procedure

The sending university has to nominate the participants (all types of mobilities) by sending an email to the following addresses:

  • for KA131 (EU Member and third countries associated to the programme) mobilities: erasmus [at] cumhuriyet.edu.tr
  • for KA171 (third countries not associated to the programme) mobilities: emreseven [at] cumhuriyet.edu.tr

The nomination e-mail sent by the sending university should include the following information for each nominee:

  • Full Name (as in passport/ID)
  • Date of Birth
  • Gender
  • Nationality
  • E-mail address of the student
  • Field of Study / Subject Area (with ISCED code if possible)
  • Current Level of Study (Bachelor, Master, PhD)
  • Home University (full name, Erasmus code)
  • Receiving Faculty/Department at SCU
  • Mobility Type (Study / Traineeship)
  • Mobility Period (e.g., Fall 2025, Spring 2026, or Full Year 2025–2026)
  • Planned Duration (start and end dates if available)
  • Language proficiency (in English or Turkish)
Application Procedure

Upon the nomination, the participants who are accepted will receive an e-mail with the application procedures.

  • Application Form (PDF, will be sent via e-mail)
  • Incoming Mobilities Information Form (Online form, link will be sent via e-mail)
  • Passport (PDF, photo page, valid for the full mobility period)
  • National ID Card (PDF)
  • Transcript of Records (in English; signed/stamped)
  • Student Enrollmen/Registration Document (in English; signed/stamped document that proofs the applicant is a student)
  • Learning Agreement (LA) prepared via EWP/Online Learning Agreement (OLA) and signed by student, home university, SCU
    • OLA is not applicable in KA171 mobilities. Please fill out the LA document through this link.
  • Language proficiency (recommended B1/B2 English or language of instruction; home letter or certificate)
  • Passport-size photo (for student card procedures)
  • Europass CV (PDF)
  • Letter of Intention (PDF)
  • (If applicable) Special needs declaration / accessibility requirements

Student Mobility for Studies

Students coming to Sivas Cumhuriyet University under Erasmus+ for studies enroll in courses at the faculties located on the main campus. Their study period can be for one semester or a full academic year. Academic recognition is guaranteed through the Learning Agreement and the use of ECTS credits, ensuring that studies completed at Sivas Cumhuriyet University are fully recognized by their home institution. Students are provided with academic advising, library access, language support, and cultural integration activities.

Student Mobility for Traineeship

Erasmus+ students may also carry out a traineeship (internship) at Sivas Cumhuriyet University. Traineeships are hosted by relevant academic or administrative units depending on the student’s field of study. This mobility allows students to gain practical experience, develop professional skills, and build intercultural competencies. The International Relations Office facilitates placements and provides guidance throughout the traineeship period.

Staff Mobility

Sivas Cumhuriyet University also participates actively in staff mobilities, providing opportunities for academic and administrative staff from partner institutions to visit, collaborate, and share expertise.

Staff Mobility for Teaching

Academic staff from partner universities may visit Sivas Cumhuriyet University to deliver lectures, seminars, or workshops within the framework of an Erasmus+ teaching mobility. These visits encourage academic exchange, joint curriculum development, and the sharing of best practices. Staff members are hosted by the relevant faculties and departments, and teaching hours are organized in accordance with Erasmus+ programme requirements.

Staff Mobility for Training

Administrative and academic staff may also participate in training mobility at Sivas Cumhuriyet University. Training activities may include job-shadowing, workshops, participation in staff weeks, or skill-development programmes offered by various units of the university. This type of mobility enhances staff professional development, supports international cooperation, and strengthens institutional capacity.
