Participants will enhance their intercultural competence, learn strategies for effective communication in multicultural settings, and develop tools to foster inclusivity and understanding within their teams and partner networks.<\/p>\n<p>Key objectives include:<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Enhancing understanding of cultural differences and their impact on workplace communication.<\/li>\n<li>Equipping participants with skills to manage conflicts arising from cultural misunderstandings.<\/li>\n<li>Promoting inclusive practices to strengthen collaboration in diverse teams.<\/li>\n<li>Fostering awareness of cultural biases and strategies to overcome them.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>This interactive programme blends theoretical insights with practical tools, ensuring participants can immediately apply their learning in their workplace.<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<p><strong>Methods and Outcomes<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Methods:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ol>\n<li><strong>Workshops:<\/strong> Facilitated discussions and activities to explore cultural frameworks like Hofstede\u2019s dimensions, Hall\u2019s cultural contexts, and Trompenaars\u2019 model.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Case Studies:<\/strong> Real-life examples from international university settings to analyze and resolve cultural challenges.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Role-Playing and Simulations:<\/strong> Experiential learning to practice handling intercultural workplace scenarios.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Group Discussions:<\/strong> Peer learning through the exchange of best practices and experiences.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Expert Lectures:<\/strong> Sessions from professionals with expertise in intercultural communication.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<hr \/>\n<p><strong>Outcomes:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Increased awareness of cultural diversity and its impact on workplace dynamics.<\/li>\n<li>Improved communication skills tailored to multicultural environments.<\/li>\n<li>Practical strategies to manage cultural challenges and foster inclusivity.<\/li>\n<li>A toolkit of resources and frameworks for intercultural competence.<\/li>\n<li>Stronger networks among international relations staff across European universities.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<hr \/>\n<p><strong>Field of Education<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The programme falls under the field of <strong>Social Sciences and Communication<\/strong>, with a focus on intercultural relations, organizational behavior, and communication studies.<\/p>\n<p><em>Staff working at the International Relations Offices or in related units are recommended to be prioritized for participation.<\/em><\/p>\n<p>Field Of Study:\u00a0 <strong>00 Inter-disciplinary &#8211; All<\/strong><\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<p><strong>Virtual Component Description<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The virtual component complements the in-person programme by providing:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Pre-Training Module:<\/strong> Online self-paced learning materials, including videos, suggested readings, and quizzes on intercultural theories and concepts.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Virtual Discussion Forum:<\/strong> An interactive platform for participants to share insights, discuss challenges, and network before and after the training.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Post- Webinars:<\/strong> Live sessions with experts on advanced topics such as virtual intercultural communication and managing cultural biases online.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<hr \/>\n<p><strong>Schedule<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Physical component: <strong>26 \u2013 30 May 2025<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Virtual component:<\/p>\n<p>Pre\u2013Training Module: <strong>17 \u2013 21 May 2025<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Post &#8211; Webinars: <strong>2 \u2013 6 June 2025<\/strong><\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<p><strong>Prerequisites for Participation<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Minimum B1 level competence in English<br \/>\u2022 Interest in the fields of Intercultural Communication, Inclusion, and Diversity<br \/>\u2022 Strong motivation to actively engage in program activities and discussions<br \/>\u2022 Willingness to collaborate with participants from diverse cultural and professional backgrounds<br \/>\u2022 Availability to attend all scheduled sessions and activities during and after the program<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<hr \/>\n<p><strong>Applications <\/strong><\/p>\n<p>BIP participants must apply for an Erasmus+ KA131 BIP-related grant for staff mobility for training through their home institution. For assistance, please contact the International Relations Office at your home institution.<\/p>\n<p><strong><em>Nomination by Home Institution:<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The home institution nominates its candidate(s) for the BIP program.
