We are excited to invite you and your students to an upcoming online info session about our 2025 Summer School programs at the University of P\u00e9cs, in Hungary. This session will provide details on our diverse range of summer schools, offering students a chance to earn credits while experiencing an unforgettable summer in Hungary.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

At the University of P\u00e9cs in Hungary we offer the following two- and four-week summer schools in 2025:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Two-week programs:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

  1. European Studies Summer School \u2013 July 6-19<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n

    During the summer school, students will study the political, economic, cultural and social achievements and challenges of the European Union, as well as expand their knowledge on topics such as the art history, gastronomy and folk traditions of Europe. They will broaden their perspectives about the contributing factors that led to contemporary Europe, including migration, cultural diversity, gender issues.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    Credits offered: 6 ECTS credits<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    Program fee:  1050 EUR<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    Scholarship is available for this program!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    1. Leadership Skills Summer School \u2013 July 6-19<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n

      The aim of the course is for students to become familiar with the leadership skills necessary to become effective, purposeful and good leaders. The main topic areas include leadership styles, strategic thinking, effective communication, team building, time management, responsibility and assertiveness.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

      Credits offered: 6 ECTS credits<\/p>\n\n\n\n

      Program fee:  1050 EUR<\/p>\n\n\n\n

      1. Debate Academy \u2013 July 20 \u2013 August 2<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n

        The program provides students with an introduction to argumentation theory, rhetoric, and practical skill-building exercises in debate and public speaking. The theories discussed in the course are connected to present-day issues and students\u2019 personal research interests.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

        Credits offered: 6 ECTS credits<\/p>\n\n\n\n

        Program fee:  1050 EUR<\/p>\n\n\n\n

        4-week programs:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

        1. Combined European Studies and Leadership Skills program \u2013 July 5 \u2013 August 3<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n

          The program includes the European Studies and Leadership Skills modules.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

          Credits offered: 12 ECTS credits<\/p>\n\n\n\n

          Program fee:  2250 EUR<\/p>\n\n\n\n

          1. International Human Rights Law and Debate Academy – July 5 \u2013 August 3<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n

            The summer school will address some of the most typical issues of international human rights, including the protection of human rights in armed conflicts, the accession of the EU to the European Convention on Human Rights, the right to asylum versus national security, the human rights implications of AI systems and algorithmic decision-making, etc. The debate course will provide students with introduction to argumentation theory, rhetoric, and with practical skills-building exercises in debate and public speaking.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

            Eligible students: Law students<\/p>\n\n\n\n

            Credits offered: 11 ECTS credits<\/p>\n\n\n\n

            Program fee:  2500 EUR<\/p>\n\n\n\n

            All programs are held in English and open to undergraduate, graduate, and PhD students.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

            The program fees include: cost of instruction, accommodation in a dormitory, lunch on teaching days, dinner when evening programs are organized, sightseeing, museum visits, Intercultural Evening, Quiz Night, wine tasting program, traditional Hungarian dinner night, Hungarian folk dance class, dragonboat competition, darts contest. The students receive a certificate and microcredentials upon completing the program.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
